Tina Bar is a sandy stretch along the Columbia River about 9 miles downstream from Vancouver in Clark County. The name comes from the Tina family, though the beach gained fame in 1980 when an 8-year-old boy discovered ,800 in deteriorated 0 bills from the D.B. Cooper hijacking ransom while building a campfire—the only confirmed physical evidence from the legendary 1971 case.

Access to Tina Bar is limited as it sits on private property owned by the Fazio Bros, reachable only by boat since Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife posted no-trespassing signs blocking the former walking trail from Caterpillar Boat Launch. Fishing attracts anglers who cast from boats anchored off the sandy bar, with the Columbia River producing sturgeon, salmon during runs, walleye, bass, and catfish depending on season. Boaters can beach their watercraft on the sand during picnics and camping trips, creating riverside experiences away from developed parks. The shoreline location downstream from Vancouver offers views of passing barges, tugboats, and recreational vessels navigating the Columbia River shipping channel. Beachcombing along the sandy bar reveals river-polished rocks, driftwood from upstream forests, and occasional artifacts washed down from communities upriver. Wildlife viewing includes bald eagles fishing the river, great blue herons stalking shallows, ospreys diving for fish, and river otters hunting along the banks. Nearby Shillapoo Wildlife Recreation Area and Vancouver Lake provide additional outdoor opportunities including bird watching, hiking trails, and lake access for paddling and fishing. The beach's relative isolation creates a sense of discovery for those who make the boat journey, though visitors should respect private property boundaries and access restrictions.

Vancouver's Columbia River waterfront offers diverse dining within short driving distance. Beaches Restaurant specializes in fresh local seafood, Northwest salmon, fish and chips, clam chowder, and river views along the waterfront trail. Twigs Bistro serves seafood, steaks, pasta dishes, extensive martini selections, and Columbia River panoramas. WildFin American Grill features burgers, fish tacos, steaks, casual fare, and outdoor patio dining overlooking Vancouver Waterfront Park. El Gaucho provides 28-day dry-aged Angus beef, fresh seafood, fine wines, and upscale atmosphere at Hotel Indigo. Stack 571 creates gourmet burgers with creative toppings, craft beers, riverside seating, and riverwalk access. The Cove offers Northwest cuisine, fresh seafood, craft cocktails, local wines and beers, and waterfront environment. DOSALAS Latin Kitchen serves tacos, margaritas, Latin-inspired dishes, and river-view patio seating. Ondus Restaurant provides modern culinary experiences, seasonal menus, and waterfront location reflecting Columbia River waves.
