Tripp Lake Beach derives its name from Tripp Pond (also known as Tripp Lake), a 735-acre body of water covering almost eight miles of shoreline in Poland, Maine. The town beach operates June 15 through September 15 from 8am to 8pm, requiring permits for residents and offering day passes or season passes for non-residents to access this Lakes and Mountains region destination.
The beach provides swimming access to clean, clear waters reaching 35 feet deep, where visitors can fish for chain pickerel, largemouth and smallmouth bass, smelt, sunfish, and perch. A personal watercraft ban maintains the peaceful atmosphere while permitting water skiing, tubing, sailing, canoeing, and kayaking, creating an ideal family recreation environment in western Maine.
Poland's small community means limited dining options, with most visitors traveling to nearby Auburn, Lewiston, or Gray for restaurant meals. The town maintains its quiet lake community character centered around Tripp Lake and outdoor recreation.
