Anderson Point Park Beach sits within the 66-acre Anderson Point Park in Olalla, Kitsap County, with nearly 2,000 feet of picturesque saltwater shoreline on Colvos Passage. The park was named after Ole Anderson, a Norwegian immigrant who settled in the area in the late 1800s, with the Anderson Family homesteading on the property in the early 1870s. Kitsap County purchased the property in the mid-1990s, establishing the park with saltwater beach access and viewpoints of Colvos Passage and Vashon Island. Historically, Native Americans used this area for fishing and repairing nets, while the Mosquito Fleet—an early ferry boat system transporting passengers and freight between 40 different ports in Kitsap County—made regular stops at Anderson Point. The park preserves both natural shoreline and historical transportation heritage along Colvos Passage.

Beachcombing along the nearly 2,000-foot shoreline reveals shells, smooth stones, driftwood, and marine life deposited by tides along Colvos Passage. Kayaking and paddleboarding launch from the beach for exploration of the waterway separating the Kitsap Peninsula from Vashon Island, with routes along the passage and views toward both shores. Fishing opportunities exist from the shoreline during appropriate seasons, continuing the Native American tradition of fishing at this location. Wildlife watching includes harbor seals, bald eagles soaring and fishing, great blue herons stalking shallows, and diverse seabirds utilizing Colvos Passage. Hiking trails throughout the 66-acre park provide upland exploration connecting beach access with forested areas. Views capture Colvos Passage waters, Vashon Island rising across the waterway, and the Olympic Mountains visible to the west on clear days. The park's viewpoints offer elevated perspectives of the passage and surrounding landscape beyond the beach level.

Olalla and Kitsap County dining offers options in this rural South Kitsap community. Olalla Bay Market and Landing serves pizza, craft beer and wine, ice cream, pretzels, and sandwiches as the primary Olalla establishment. Butcher and Baker Provisions creates quality prepared foods in nearby areas. Madrona Cafe offers local favorites. The Honeybee drive-in serves classic drive-in fare. Woven Seafood and Chophouse celebrates fusion of Japanese heritage, Hawaii regional cuisine, and Pacific Northwest traditions. Saints and Scholars Irish Pub provides Irish-themed dining and beverages. The Saucy Sailor creates waterfront atmosphere typical of Kitsap Peninsula dining.
